7 Fantasy Romance Books to Read This Fall 🍂

I don’t care what anyone says. As soon as we reach the -ber months, it’s fall, and that means we get to share all the magical fantasy romance books. Let’s curl up with some of my favorite fall-themed books, full of enemies to lovers banter, magical worlds, and simmering slow burn romances. Check out these seven fall fantasy romance books perfect for your cozy TBR.

Rival potion shops? Cozy found family? Give me more! Ambrose and Eli are two of my favorite cozy fantasy characters, and their rivalry turned lovers romance is the absolute sweetest. It’s so natural to see them grow together, and their chemistry is perfect. This is a whimsical story paired with the coziest of feelings, and you’ll just want one of Sherry’s cookies and a hot chocolate. It’s witty and heartwarming and the world building is absolutely incredible.

Hello to my favorite omegaverse author. This cozy fantasy romance is absolutely delightful, taking you into Starlight Grove and giving you the warmest of aesthetics for your fall tbr. If you’ve ever wanted to ease yourself into omegaverse, Emerson does a fantastic job with her books, and A Pack for Autumn even has it in the title - it’s a perfect autumn read!

Yes, I’m dropping one of my titles because this one is for readers who like their romantic fantasy a little darker. Storm is set on the precipice of the Autumn Equinox and Blood Moon, which doesn’t quite scream cozy fantasy, but the novella length story is great for a quick binge read. This is the book you pick up on a stormy fall night, where lightning and thunder are your ambiance. Pair it with a shadow daddy, banter, and tension, and your fall tbr is set.

While it’s not necessarily a fall setting, diving into the Falling for Demons series is like an introduction to monster romance and cozy fantasy all in one. It’s low stakes featuring a grumpy x grumpy romance that will actually convince you to get into the kitchen and make all your favorite comfort foods. The vibes are very cozy, with a dash of extra spicy, and you’ll want to tuck yourself into blankets to read late at night.

Another installment of the Falling for Demons series, this one is peak cottagecore aesthetic. While not set in a fall season, it still gives the cozy fantasy vibes that make you want to curl up and enjoy a nice tea and your chunkiest sweater. A sunshine x sunshine romance, a fantasy world with no sun, and the most adorable main characters you’ll ever meet. Plus, the disability rep and caretaking will bring you all the coziest feelings.

Another Caggiano fantasy romance that deserves a place on your tbr. There’s the obvious fall setting, fae mischief, mystery, and an enemies to lovers romance that is full of the most delightful banter. Our MMC is so smug, and it really pairs well with our FMC Maewyn who just loves to be an inconvenience to him. The magic that keeps them tethered is really quite unique, and with each exploration of the world, you really see the fall setting come to life.

I cannot leave this list without one of my favorite cozy fantasy romances. Witches, demons, a rom-com that will have you falling in love. I laughed so often with this, and the tension between our two main characters is so rich. It really made for a chaotic but delightful read. This is a book I revisit often in the autumn season and consistently recommend to all my reader friends.

So, your fall tbr will thank me for these suggestions, I know it. The perfect blend of magic and romance for autumn, paired with your favorite warm drink, comfort food, and coziest blanket. Add these fall fantasy romance books to your reading list and do let me know which ones you enjoyed!
